Scenery Animator 1.05
Important Updates to Manual
1) Deluxe Paint III will not properly play animations with a screen width
of 384. If attempted, it will go into Hi Res mode and display the
animation using only about 1/2 of the screen. It will not load
animations with a screen width of 768. All other screen widths work OK.
"ShowANIM" version 5.40-02 does not display animations with a screen
width of 736. It also doesn't work in some situations with AmigaDOS 2.0.
Display v3.29, an animation player, is included on the program disk.
It handles animations of any screen width and works OK with
WorkBench 2.0, except when your Preferences are set for a non-standard
font size. It is simple to use -- just click on its icon and it will
display a file requester asking for the name of the animation file.
When using these animation players with DCTV, you may need to adjust the
screen positioning using "Preferences". Otherwise DCTV might not receive
critical information it needs to display the picture, possibly resulting
in a blank DCTV screen. The screen position indicator on the 1.2 or 1.3
Preferences screen should be at least 3/4 of the way toward the right
edge of the square, and at least 3/4 of the way toward the bottom edge
of the square. The default setting (on your original WorkBench 1.2, or
1.3 disk) works fine.
The above is not necessary when viewing DCTV pictures directly within
Scenery Animator. It automatically insures that DCTV gets all the video
information it needs.
2) The screen mode and dimension buttons have been changed from the picture
shown in the manual. Just press the button for the desired screen
dimensions, or toggle "HiRes" and "Interlace" to change modes.
3) Two buttons have been added to select a depth of either 3 or 4 for DCTV.
A depth of 3 is recommended for long animations, since they play
faster and take up less space.
4) Be sure to send in your registration card so that we may inform you of
any updates and new landscape disks when they are available.
